Smoke Fired Porcelain Vessel
Enso is the Japanese work for circle, but it also means mindful making.
This piece is smoke fired porcelain. The process of smoke firing is ancient, but I use it to create one-of-a-kind artworks. The work is wheel thrown porcelain. My smoke kiln is fueled by local sawdust, which adds another dimension to my work. Smoke firing creates unique marks that cannot be reproduced.
